How great that next year we will be reviewing the gospel principles in Priesthood and Relief Society. We are so lacking on the basics, that a review will really broaden our understanding of the Gospel. I studied Physics in College, and when it was announced we would review factoring I almost slit my wrists. However, as I remembered factoring being totally irrelevant and completely boring, I realized that now it was not only totally applicable, but interesting how you could pull apart certain expressions which made them useful. I was astounded, that factoring could be engaging. As we go back to basics this year lets be sure and stick clearly to the source material. Some people will teach the subject but pull out a lot of stuff that isn’t in the manual trying to make the lesson deeper or more engaging for a knowledgeable class. This is the worst thing they could do. The simple application of the most basic principles will exalt us. Jesus said ” If ye love me keep my commandments” John 14:15. We all need do discuss how to better be more honest, or how to administer true Justice. Lets be sure to get excited to re-learn the basics this upcoming year.
